Visit our Flash site to search our entire database of tracks. Our music player allows you to listen to tracks in their entirety, and provide the composers, featured instruments, descriptions, and lyrics (if applicable) of every song and composition in our archive. You are also given the options (when available) to listen to various versions of each track. With or without percussion, instrumental versions only, bass and drums only, isolating the bed of the track, soloing out only the string parts, and so on. This way you can listen through each version to determine which is best for scoring use in your film, television program, commercial, or whatever use you may need the music for.

Our collection of cues spans the following genres and sub-genres:
Action
Need fast-paced music for a chase scene? Big orchestral cues for the final showdown? Explore our “Action” cues for just that. Even the titles themselves hint at the grandeur of the piece, with names such as “Epic Battle,” “Airport Rescue,” “Quick Escape,” “Rundown”… the list goes on. Chase music, fight themes, hero cues, enemy battles, and beyond. Our action cues rival the best out there by Hans Zimmer, Klaus Badelt, John Williams, John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams, Danny Elfman, James Horner, or any other popular action movie composer you may be familiar with.
Artist Series: Acoustic Rock
All of the tracks in our Artist Series collection are vocal tracks, available with singing or just as instrumental works. Lyrics are available on the website as well, so you can follow along as the music plays, or search for a particularly lyrical term or phrase.
Or Acoustic Rock features the simplicity and purity of conventional acoustic guitar and bass, smaller folk ensembles , blended with the clarity of the human voice. In general these are feel-good tracks and compositions, softer and serene, reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel, Hope Waits, Sara McLoughlin, and others.
Artist Series: Ballad
For the romance film, love scene, or soft lounge background, or Ballad collection goes even softer and smoother than the Acoustic Rock. Think slow jazz, brushed drums, haunting piano, and female vocals piercing to the core. Think James Bond getting comfy with the Bond girl, or the coming-of-age teen comedy, or the heart-felt embrace of the two main characters finally getting together. Or ballads work for any of those scenarios, and many more.
Artist Series: Hard Rock
Do you need music that’s on par with today’s top 40? Visit our Hard Rock section for the types of tracks you’d expect to hear on KROQ, perfect for all manner of contemporary film. Perfect if you need something that sounds like Nickelback, Fallout Boy, Goo Goo Dolls, Metallica, Disturbed, Korn, 3 Days Grace, and so on.
Artist Series: Light Rock
Need something with a little more kick than the acoustic rock? Kick it up a slight notch to the light rock, bringing in some heavier percussion and distorted guitar, but not going over the edge. This collection is fitting for the adult dramas, feel-good grown-up romance stories, Christian shows, movies with a person “finding themselves”, and beyond. Could work for soap opera music or even work as a pop theme for television intro music. Think Ben Folds, Rush, Journey, Coldplay, or Eric Clapton, to get an idea.
Artist Series: Medium Rock
Does your film or television require some music to license that’s not too heavy, but not too light? Right there in the medium rock range? We have it. In the style of Matchbox 20, Fuel, Incubus, Live, Train and others, our Medium Rock collection can ride the line between touching and angry, sympathetic and passionate. Give it a listen to see what our tracks can do for you.
Classical: Chamber Music
Is yours a period piece? Or a reflection on the Baroque, Medieval, or Renaissance eras? Our classical section can fill the void with waltzes, organ fugues, harpsichord partitas, chamber music ensembles, string quartets, and the like. Whether it’s a show or film set in the era itself, or more of a history channel documentary style production, our tracks can set the tone and put the listener right in time with the century you’re aiming for.
Comedy: Quirky
Ah yes, a fun one! Got a Bugs Bunny / Looney Toons style cartoon that needs music? Or perhaps a Tim Burton-esque silly situation that needs a cue that’s both whimsical and melodic? Drama: Light
Ramp up the tension, but only slightly with our Drama: Light library of music. Does the character need time to think and ponder a difficult decision? Does the detective need a bed of music to play while he struggles to piece together a case? Or is it merely a moment of confusion or loss for the lead? Perhaps the featured animal in your nature channel documentary is in danger of being eaten? Let our drama collection fill in the holes and lay the perfect audio environment for your production.
Drums: Score
Make a statement quickly and solidly with the powerful percussion of our Drums: Score collection.
Electronic: Break Beat

Also perfect for science fiction, video game scores, breakdancing scenes, or modern cinematics.
Electronic: Dance
Get the body moving with a four-to-the-floor dance groove. Perfect for party music, nightclub grooves, and much more.
Electronic: Fusion
There’s a great deal of music out there that crosses genres; well, the same can be said for film. Experimental theatrical productions, avant-garde cinema, head trip movies, and so on. For these types of film and television products, perhaps the best musical companion is a composition designed to fuse electronica with rock, or melt the border between techno and ethic. Perhaps a cue that uses strange and inexplicable sounds as instruments is the best choice to set the tone for your story. Check it out.
Electronic: Industrial
You can’t get much heavier than this. Our industrial music library collection gets dark and dirty, and sometimes downright scary. Horror movie music, thriller scores, and late-night scare flicks can all benefit from these tracks. Zombie or monster movies, a maniac in the woods, serial killers on the loose, they just don’t have the same impact on screen unless accompanied by the right tone of aggression, danger, and power. Our industrial archive can provide that.
Electronic : Techno
Fast paced but not and dark as heavy as the industrial collection, our techno music library archive sets a tone of speed and energy, without going over the edge. Fleshed out with all the electronic blips and beeps that define the genre, our techno collection is perfect for science fiction scenes, dance parties, high tech discovery, machine music, and way more.
Electronic: Video Game
Go back in time to the sounds of the original C-64, the Nintendo Entertainment System, or the classic PC games. Give your character on screen something classic to play on whatever system is appropriate. Our works are built using the original square waves, triangle waves, white noise, and so on that were used by the original video game systems, for authenticity. Happy character themes, boss music, puzzle ambience, and beyond.
Emotional: Happy
On the other side of the coin from drama: dark is emotional: happy. Set a mood of peace and comfort, happiness and serenity. Is yours a feel-good film? Or perhaps you have a commercial that needs the right pleasant vibe to promote your product and enhance your narration. Our emotional music library connection can deliver. Happy vibes and life-affirming pop grooves, sweet guitar licks and romantic resolutions, you need it, we got it. Think Thirtysomething, Seinfeld, Friends, Dawson’s Creek, and such.
Emotional: Sad
Perhaps a reality show contestant found out they’re not moving on to the next chapter. Or maybe your hero has suffered some bad news. There’s a time and place for the music to be sad and touching without getting all dramatic, and that’s what our sad collection of the music library is for. Compositions of loss, farewell themes, melancholy melodies, and more.
Here and There: Holiday
There’s a certain vibe and style to holiday music that just can’t be described any other way than with the right music. Christmas and New Years especially have a very distinct sound that can capture within a few seconds the essence of the holiday spirit. Sleigh bells, hymns, and more will set the happy and spirited tone that you need for your holiday production, Christmas show, or TV special.
Here and There: Special Occasion
We all look forward to special events, but on film they really need the right music for the job. Weddings, birthday parties, funerals, whatever the event we have the music to set the right tone.
Here and There: Stings
Surprise! Or, perhaps, watch out! Stingers come out of nowhere and hit fast, either to provide an accent or scare, or to accompany a major hit or pop on screen. Explore our stings to listen and see which one “gets” you the best.
Jazz
Sometimes smooth, sometimes lively, sometimes progressive and trippy, or sometimes extremely laid back, jazz has an effect than no other style can emulate. Our jazz collection ranges from small jazz trio sounds to full ensembles. Need an easy listening jazz groove, in the style of the Weather Channel or local news program? We have it. Need to set the tone for a 50s lounge or old Dixieland groove? It’s here. Our jazz music library crosses several generations of genres and can work for a wide variety of purposes.
Lighter Side: Acoustic
Easy to listen to, easy to use in film. The lighter side collection of our music library is divided into three parts , the first being Acoustic. Lonely solo guitar, unplugged for that human quality that works so beautifully on screen. Great for a touching flashback scene, or to capture the essence of the great outdoors… ideal for a budding romance, or to establish an environment of peace and tranquility. No vocals, just solo instrumental sweetness.
Lighter Side: Ambient
Ambient music crosses several uses and purposes in film. Sometimes the electronic synths and pads serve as a bed for flight, sometimes to establish a cosmic or futuristic setting, or sometimes to soothe people in a high tech realm. Ambient tracks also work well underneath sound design, dialogue, and speech, as the music itself is generally slower paced and emptier. If you need ambient cues for your film, TV, or commercial production, look no further.
Lighter Side: Chill
The genre of chillout is yet another with several purposes. Maybe you need a laid back but edgy groove for a sex scene, or something slightly acid or trippy to accompany a character coping with the effects of drugs or alcohol. For something with just the right amount of edge but still works great on screen, checkout the chill portion of our music library archive.
Orchestral: Big
Sometimes you need that big and powerful sound, but not for a purpose that could be described as action. Our orchestral music library cues are a perfect for a soaring flight, a hard hitting news show theme, a happy ending, a victorious film climax, and so on. Hero themes, royal pomp, triumphant returns, and beyond.
Orchestral: Light
Just because you have an orchestra at your disposal doesn’t mean you need to do a great big, powerful theme. In fact, smaller groupings of orchestral instruments can often work better, and particularly for film scores. Compositions that focus less on the large string ensembles, and zoom in more for the lonely clarinet or bassoon melody, or perhaps a serene flute line. This music often works best for scenes set in the forest or woods, or a production that needs to capture a fantasy vibe, like Howard Shore’s soundtrack to the Lord of the Rings.
Hip-Hop/Rap Beats
Never has hip-hop been more popular in culture than today. Urban beats and gritty grooves, hard hitting bass lines and catchy rhythms, these cues work either for rapping and spitting over, or just to set that urban flavor. Gangsters, inner-city youth, troubled teens, all these and much more take their place on the silver screen, and each need the perfect cue to create the setting. Our hip hop music library collection can deliver.
R&B: Funk
In the style of George Clinton and others, our funk collection will get your booty shakin’ and sweat pumping. From the 70s disco-style funk to the more recent funk rock fusion, our collection can set the stage for your funky scenes in film, tv, commercials, video games, whatever needs it. Explore our funk music library today.
R&B: Rhythm and Blues
Feel the soul pour through your speakers with our rhythm and blues music library collection. From the retro style of Jimi Hendrix to modern R&B, our beats get the head bopping and make you feel it. Great for several different kinds of cinema, including sexy scenes, African American features, and more.
Rock: Pop
It’s called “pop” because it’s short for “popular”, because pop music is generally of a style the all people like and can get into. Thus our pop music library can fill the need for any modern or contemporary scene where likable music is in order. Bar scenes, block parties, celebrations, rock concerts, and much more on film can benefit from licensing our pop rock tracks and using them in your television or film production.
Rock: Blues
There’s rhythm and blues, and then there’s rock and roll blues. Each has their own flavor, and their own purpose in the medium of film and television. Browse our blues music library tracks to find just the right balance of soul wrenching blue music, and aggressive guitar to balance it out.
Rock: Hard
Break out the guitar solos and shreddage! Heavy metal and more, but purely instrumental rock.
Rock: Light
If you liked the light rock of the artist series, you’re sure to enjoy the instrumental rock of our music library. Some guitar, some shredding, but intermingled with synthetic goodness, piano, electric piano, and a generally lighter sense of percussion. Great for a scene that needs to move along briskly, but doesn’t lose control of itself.
Rock: Medium
There are many degrees of rock and roll, and if you’re looking for that balance right in the middle, then look no further than the section of our music library entitled Rock: Medium. We bring in the distorted guitar and hit it, but keep it moderate enough so as to accompany your scene without taking it over.
World: Celtic
Capture the essence of the highlands with our Celtic music library collection. Whether your scene is in Ireland or Scotland, or just needs to portray the heritage of a character with Irish or Scottish background, this world music portion of the library will most certainly be beneficial.
